Imphal, March 23: Notification for the first phase Lok Sabha polls on April 16 in Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency (hill districts) was issued on Monday.
Returning officer of the constituency R K Dinesh in his notification said candidates would be allowed to file their nomination papers between 11 am to 3 pm on any day other than public holidays till March 30 next.
Scrutiny of papers would be carried out at 1 pm on March 31 and withdrawal of candidature by any candidate would be allowed before 3 p.m. on April 2, he said.
Polls would be held between 7 am to 4 pm on April 16.
Second phase elections would be held on April 22 in Inner Manipur parliamentary constituency (valley districts).
Manipur has two parliamentary seats-- Inner Manipur and Outer Manipur.
