Hojai, Khan remanded to 14 days police custody

Guwahati , June 5 Chief executive member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council Mohet Hojai and joint director of social welfare department R H Khan were today remanded to 14 days police custody.
The duo, earlier remanded to four days police custody, were today produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate which remanded them to further 14 days police custody.

Mohet and Khan were arrested from Haflong and brought to Guwahati in connection with a case charging them of funding DHD (Jewel) group militant faction which has wrecked havoc in North Cachar hill district by targeting security personnel and trains, railway men and public.

Following the arrest of the duo, the state government dissolved the NCHAC.
